Nancy Leighton, Founder, Career Counselor

As a Certified Career Counselor (CCC) designated by the National Career Development Association and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Nancy has helped thousands of clients manage career transitions over the course of her 20+ years in the field. More importantly, Nancy has counseled and coached thousands towards their best fit careers and has helped them reach the goals that they have set. She is known for her compassionate expertise that yields results. 

Having started her career in academia, Nancy led both the Internship and the Alumni Career Services programs at Baruch College/CUNY.  While her true passion is working one-on-one with clients of all ages and stages of life, she also enjoys having the opportunity to speak about career development topics to groups, professional organizations, schools and businesses.

As the leader of a successful group practice, Nancy has added the supervision of her team to her skill sets and is currently pursuing an additional certification in the clinical supervision of career counseling (CCSCC).

Sarah Rice, Career Counselor

Sarah is a Career Counselor, holding a license in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC). The core of Sarah’s work comes from the idea that the client is the expert of their own experience. Guided by this principle, Sarah believes her role is to help clients discover what is best for them. Before earning her graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University, Sarah gained valuable experience in the Corporate Law field. Whether at the outset of their career or seeking a new direction, Sarah is adept at providing clients with a collaborative space dedicated entirely to helping them discover the career they desire.

Beth Nabi, Career Counselor

Beth Nabi is a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP), leveraging her experience in corporate Human Resources and consulting roles where she has successfully recruited talent for companies, helped employees navigate their careers, and resolved employee relations issues. Becoming a CCSP is the perfect complement to Beth’s HR background and Master’s in Organizational Psychology, enabling her to counsel clients one-on-one to identify their strengths, values, skills and interests, and translate them into their next career move. Beth helps clients create and improve their resumes, develop outstanding interview skills, and adopt effective job search strategies to market themselves and land top-notch job opportunities.

Jill Steinberg, Director of Operations

Jill is a seasoned professional with experience and a proven track record in business development and sales. For nine years, Jill worked for Applerouth Tutoring Services, where she launched and grew a New York office to over $1 million in annual revenue. She identified growth opportunities, forged strategic partnerships, and oversaw the overall operations of the company for the New York market. 

Jill volunteers her time as a small business consultant for The Acceleration Project (TAP), an organization that provides customized consulting services to underserved small business owners, primarily women and people of color. With her strategic insight and a proven track record in business development and sales, Jill is a trusted leader for the career counseling team.
